Questions Brewster homeowners ask
Is my Brewster house in the Old King's Highway district, and how do I check?
The district runs from the Cape Cod Bay shore to the center line of Route 6. If your house is anywhere near that line, ask the Town of Brewster to confirm before planning a color change.
Can I switch my trim from painted wood to PVC in Brewster without a hearing?
The Old King's Highway rules count replacing shingles and clapboards with the same material as ordinary maintenance, but not changes from wood to vinyl, aluminum or fiber. PVC trim is not named, so plan on asking the committee before switching.
